Today, sightsee Beijing: imposing Tian An Men Square, and then on to see Ming extravagance at the Forbidden City's treasure-filled Imperial Palace, with admission to the living quarters, museum and jewelry sections. After lunch, visit the Summer Palace with a boat ride on Lake Kunming (not available in winter).

Day 4 BEIJING

IMPORTANT NOTES

Please carefully read and be sure that you fully understand the IMPORTANT NOTES and TERMS & CONDITIONS as stated below. Receipt of your payment represents your acknowledgement and acceptance of these terms and conditions. Pacific Delight World Tours will be happy to clarify any questions you may have.

ACCOMMODATIONS:
Hotels are based on double occupancy. Single supplement is indicated on the itineraries. Triple room rates are not available. Hotels are subject to change. Substitutions, if any, are similar class to listed hotels.

MEALS:
Meals are served as specified in the itinerary.

TOURS:
Due to occasional flight delays, it may not be possible to include some sightseeing tours as scheduled. Also, cultural and acrobatic shows and the Children's Palace performance may not be available during holidays and seasonal recess in China. If it becomes necessary to change the means of transportation or any other service, or for the tour to be prolonged through circumstances beyond the control of the ground operator, any additional tour cost must be borne by the passenger and is payable immediately. Due to varying water levels on the Yangtze River and/or construction at the Three Gorges Dam, Yangtze River cruise routes and shore excursions are subject to possible change.

7 DAY BEIJING KALEIDOSCOPE and 7 DAY HONG KONG KALEIDOSCOPE tours are locally guided with a minimum of two participants. 9 DAY BEIJING, SHANGHAI & HONG KONG, 13 DAY BEIJING, XI'AN & SHANGHAI and 13 DAY HISTORIC CITIES & YANGTZE RIVER KALEIDOSCOPE tours are locally guided with 6 or more participants, and we reserve the right to cancel the tour with less than 6 participants. 18 DAY CLASSIC CHINA & YANGTZE RIVER KALEIDOSCOPE tour: a group size of 10 or more will be escorted by a bilingual Tour Manager in China and locally guided in Hong Kong; with less than 10 participants the tour will be locally guided throughout and we reserve the right to cancel the tour.

SINGLE DESTINATION TOURS & PRE/POST TOUR EXTENSIONS are locally guided with a minimum of 2 passengers, and we reserve the right to cancel the tour.

NOTE: 1. If any tour is operated with less than the minimum number of passengers, supplemental charges will apply. 2. Participants on locally guided tours will be transferred in each city, but will not be accompanied on flights between cities. When travel between cities is by motorcoach, a guide will travel with the group.

TRAVEL DOCUMENTS: U.S. passports with a six-month validity AFTER the date of return are required for all tour participants. Upon request, Pacific Delight World Tours will secure the visa for entry into the People's Republic of China (not required for Hong Kong) for a nominal fee. All applications must be forwarded to the Chinese Consulate for their approval. Pacific Delight World Tours cannot guarantee the acceptance of your visa application. If for any reason your application is denied, a full refund will be made on any payment. Once your China visa is processed, it is valid for 3 months from date of issue. Non-U.S. citizens should check visa and health requirements with appropriate consulates or their travel agent.

HEALTH: In general, tours are quite active and require a good deal of walking, frequently including stairs. We strongly recommend that you discuss any health concerns regarding these points with your personal physician.

Currently, vaccinations are not required. As health requirements change without notice, please check with your personal physician or public health service for current required or recommended inoculations.

Additional Assistance: In order to ensure the smooth operation of the tour for all group members, any traveler requiring special assistance must be accompanied by an adult who is responsible for providing all such assistance. Or, you may ask Pacific Delight Tours to arrange for appropriate assistance at an additional cost. Handicap access to some facilities may not be available at the same required levels standard in the US.

TERMS & CONDITIONS
BOOKING PROCEDURES (1 through 6, see below)
1. RESERVATION REQUEST:
Upon receipt of your deposit, written confirmation/invoice and Passenger Information Form, will be sent.
2. DEPOSIT: All Deposits, Travel Protection Fees, and Visa Fees may be paid by credit card (MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express) with signed credit card authorization form, or by check.
a.) Receipt of deposit confirms your reservation and is applied toward final payment.

Travel Protection Insurance is recommended. Pre-existing conditions exclusion is waived when insurance is purchased at time of deposit.
3. CHINA VISAS: U.S. Passports with a six month validity AFTER the date of return should be sent to our office 45 days prior to departure date with a completed and signed Visa Application Form with an official passport-size color photo, including payment by credit card or check and is non-refundable once the visa is issued. Once your China visa is processed, it is valid for 3 months from date of issue.

If you are applying for your own visa: Photocopies of valid passport must be sent with deposit in order to process the booking. Passenger names must be as listed on the respective passports. Any corrections required are subject to a $10.00 change fee.

4. FINAL PAYMENT:
a.) Air/Land Payment:
Due 75 days prior to departure and may be made by check or credit card, with signed authorization form.
b.) Land Only Payment: Due 75 days prior to departure and may be made by check or credit card, with signed authorization form.
c.) Late Payment Fee: $50.00 per person if payment is not received by 75 days prior to departure.
d.) Reservations made within 75 days: While booking early ensures the widest choice of availability, we welcome your spontaneous travel plans. Final payment on bookings made less than 75 days prior to departure date is due within three days of receipt of invoice to avoid the late payment fee, and is accepted by certified check or credit card.
e.) Administrative Handling Fee: A nominal $50.00 per person administrative handling fee will be assessed on new reservations made within 45 days prior to departure.
f.) Promotional Discounts: Valid only if final payment is received at least 75 days prior to departure or as specified in the promotion. Discounts cannot be used towards deposit.

Pacific Delight World Tours, Inc. (hereinafter PDWT), the tour operator, reserves the right to cancel bookings not paid in full by the due date. During peak travel periods, it may be necessary to request your final payment more than 75 days prior to departure date, or to modify your tour arrangements to accommodate unforeseen circumstances due to the high demand for air, cruise and hotel space. You will be notified immediately should this situation arise.

5. REVISION FEES:
A per-person fee for each revision will be assessed for any changes in air and/or land arrangements after the booking number has been issued and is under deposit. From initial reservation through issue date of documents/tickets………. US $15.00 per person (plus supplier's penalties).Once documents/tickets are issued, changes are not permitted and air tickets are non-refundable.A change in departure date, or from one tour to another, is considered a cancelled trip and cancellation penalties will apply.
6. CANCELLATION FEES : All tours:

AIR INFORMATION:

PDWT will provide air transportation in conjunction with all land tours, based on the applicable air fares on Continental Airlines and participating carriers, subject to the rules and regulations of the class, fare and service of the individual airline. Tours that are published inclusive of air utilize contracted net fares in effect at time of printing (May 20, 2005) and are subject to change by the airline. Due to special contracted net agreements, supplements or credits for air deviations may not be equal to published air fare differentials.

Domestic carriers provide air transportation in China and Asia. Air fares are subject to change and any increase in air fare is not included in the tour fare.

Depending on air fare class used, the air fare may be non-refundable and subject to full cancellation penalties. Tour fare does not include any increase in air fare due to increase in fuel cost and/or for any other reason. Tour extensions may incur weekend surcharges. PDWT endeavors to follow the itineraries precisely; however, if flights are not available at the scheduled time, we reserve the right to modify the air and land arrangements for smooth operation of the tour.

BAGGAGE: Baggage allowance differs for the transpacific and China sections of your tour. US transpacific allowance is two pieces of checked baggage. Maximum weight/size for each piece is 50 lbs./62 inches (sum of three dimensions). One carry-on not to exceed 45 inches (sum of three dimensions) is allowed. Baggage allowance within China is one piece of baggage not over 44 lbs. per person, plus a carry-on. Baggage in excess of one piece per person will result in excess baggage fees to be paid immediately upon demand. Pacific Delight World Tours does not assume any responsibility for loss or damage to baggage or passenger's belongings. It is at passenger's risk throughout.

LAND INFORMATION:
REFUND ON UNUSED OR CHANGED TOUR ARRANGEMENTS: Portions of land arrangements, hotel accommodations or any other service or feature of the tour which are not used are neither refundable nor exchangeable. Travel Protection Insurance and Visa handling fee is non-refundable. Refund claims must be made in writing within 20 days of the termination of the tour. A written statement from the ground operator certifying the exact services not rendered must be attached to this claim.

TOUR FARE DOES NOT INCLUDE:
1. Fees for delivery of tour documentation to international destinations.

2. Airline and airport taxes, security charges and user fees both domestic and international, which vary depending on itinerary, and are subject to change, currently start at $155 per person; are not included in the tour fare..

3. Transportation of heavy baggage in excess of applicable allowance; cost of passport and visas; and all items of a personal nature.

4. The customary end-of-tour gratuity to tour managers and tips to local guides and drivers are not included. Tips to restaurant and hotel waiters, chambermaids and porters are not included.


5. Land fare does not include transpacific air USA/first point of entry abroad on tour, last point of exit on tour/USA. Transfers between airport and hotel upon arrival and departure are not included. Air sectors not included: EWR/PEK, EWR/HKG and vice versa.

International and domestic air schedules are subject to change at any time. If you make your own flight arrangements, Pacific Delight World Tours will not be responsible for any loss resulting from cancellations, delays, or changes in flight schedules.

RESPONSIBILITY: PDWT acts as tour operator and agent. The suppliers providing transportation, conveyance or accommodations are independent contractors and are not agents or employees of PDWT. All tickets, coupons and receipts issued by PDWT and all arrangements for transport or conveyance or for hotel accommodations are made by PDWT as agent of the suppliers. By utilizing the services of suppliers, you agree that neither PDWT nor any subsidiary or affiliate of PDWT shall be liable for any injury, damage, loss, accident or delay incurred by you or those traveling with you in connection with any accommodations, transportation or other services resulting directly or indirectly from any acts or default of the suppliers or from any occurrence or condition beyond the control of PDWT, including defects in vehicles or breakdown in equipment. Nor shall PDWT be liable for any injury, damage, loss, accident or delay resulting directly or indirectly from delays, cancellations or changes in flights, itineraries, schedules, steamers or other services, strikes, theft, sickness, weather, quarantine or other causes. By utilizing PDWT to arrange your tour you agree that PDWT is not responsible for any injury, damage, loss, accident or delay resulting, directly or indirectly, from delays, cancellations or changes in flights, itineraries, schedules, steamers, or other services caused by the acts of any Government, its local subdivisions, bureaus and/or authorities. All tour itineraries and fares may be affected by alterations or delays in air or surface transportation services of the various countries. PDWT reserves the right to withdraw any tour in this program and to make such alterations in the itineraries as may be found desirable for the convenience of the parties or the proper operation of the tour. PDWT reserves the right to decline to accept or to retain any person as a member of the tour party at any time.

Note: All tour fares shown are based on the present value of foreign currencies in relation to the US dollar in effect on May 15, 2005 and in current tariffs on the same date and are subject to change. The right is reserved to cancel the tour prior to departure for any reason. In such case, a full refund of all payments will constitute full settlement with the passenger.

The airlines concerned are not held responsible for any act, or event during the time the passengers are not on board their planes or conveyances. The passenger's contract in use by the airlines concerned, when issued, shall constitute the sole contract between the airlines and the purchaser of these tours and/or passenger. Any and/or all transportation companies herein mentioned shall have or incur no responsibility for liability to any traveler aside from their liability as common carriers. The carrier's international tariff is available for inspection by the passenger and will govern all aspects of the air transportation.

The General Conditions under which you agree to utilize the services of PDWT in arranging the tours herein may not be amended in any way except in writing signed by an authorized officer of PDWT. By utilizing the services of PDWT, you agree the exclusive venue for all claims, actions or proceedings against PDWT of whatsoever nature arising out of this contract shall be the State of New York and such claim, actions or proceedings shall be determined according to the laws and jurisdiction of the State of New York.
