The Hotel's architecture, which has made the most of the property's western orientation toward the river, is in the Myanmar style utilizing teak and native stone as well as Bagan brick. Thiripyitsaya has 32 superior and 27 deluxe garden view and 9 deluxe river view rooms, as well as 4 river front and 4 river view suites, spread amongst 24 acres of landscaped gardens on the banks of historic Ayeyarwaddy River. All are decorated in Myanmar style, with an abundance of wood and local materials. Verandahs surround the rooms and suites, several looking out to the river. Terrazzo bathtubs in the suites allow one to soak while enjoying peaceful river views. All conceivable comforts are provided for guests' ease and well-being, from personal safes, mini-bars, individual air-conditioning controls, satellite television channels to kimonos and hairdryers.
 
  
Dining:
European, Myanmar, and Japanese cuisine is offered in the Nadi Restaurant, Sunset Terrace, the Verandah Grill & Bar and the Pagoda Garden (advance booking required). A selective wine list as well as a wide range of drinks is available. The Nadi Restaurant features wall panels of old lacquer interspersed with glass. The Pavillion Lounge boasts of a semi-circular teakwood bar from where one can enjoy the panorama of the gardens, pool, and river. Outdoor dining on the Sunset Terrace and the Verandah Grill & Bar can be enjoyed all day long, capped by romantic candle-lit dinners with the Ayeyarwaddy River as backdrop. In-room dining is also available.
