If you purchase this extension as a pre-tour extension, your itinerary will be:
 
DAY 1 • Depart USA for Beijing, China

Your transpacific flight to Beijing is included as part of your main tour arrangements with Pacific Delight Tours.

DAY 2 • Arrive Beijing

Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to the hotel.

DAY 3 • Beijing/Lhasa

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Lhasa, mountainous capital of Tibet. On arrival, transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day is free to adjust to the altitude of one of the world's highest plateaus–about 12,000 feet above sea level.

DAY 4 • Lhasa

An extraordinary day of sightseeing shows Norbulingkha (The Summer Palace), built by the seventh Dalai Lama in the 18th century. Then visit famous Barkhor Market to shop for rare Tibetan items. See one of Tibet's holiest shrines, revered 7th century Jokhang Temple, where pilgrims come to prostrate themselves before the statue of the Sakyamuni Buddha, lavishly enthroned in gold.

DAY 5 • Lhasa

You will not soon forget the spectacular architecture at the world-famous Potala Palace. Former living quarters of the Dalai Lama, its massive 1000-room structure towers over this mountain city. Then visit Sera Monastery to see groups of red-robed young monks debate Buddhist doctrines in lively traditional style. Alternatively, visit scenic Drepung Monastery, once home to 10,000 Lamas.

DAY 6 • Depart Lhasa for Beijing

This morning, bid farewell to the mountains of Tibet as you fly back to Beijing where you join the main portion (on Day 2) of your Pacific Delight Tours holiday.
