From the time that you are welcomed to the Protea Hotel Kruger Gate under the towering indigenous portico upon the wooden boardwalk to the reception area, you will know that you're about to experience something different. The Lodge offers bush drives in our Private Reserve and through the Kruger National Park, along with open vehicle safaris and organized game trails for you and your family. For young and old alike, facilities include a unique Tree House sleepout, and a variety of sporting facilities.

Explore the experience that is the Kruger National Park by going on a walking trail with an expert guide, or game drive in the wilds. A birdwatchers` paradise, Protea Hotel Kruger Gate offers GUESTS opportunities to spot a variety of species on the doorstep, including waking at dawn to the cry of the fish eagle, while several blinds allow for close-up viewing.

Other nearby attractions includes "The Panorama Route" - Blyde River Canyon, Three Rondawels, Bourke's Luck Potholes and Wonder View, as well as the historic towns of Pilgrim's Rest and Graskop.
